General Information
The first (or second) bonfire of the Smouldering Lake.
Getting There
From the Abandoned Tomb Bonfire in the Catacombs of Carthus, exit into the Smouldering Lake and locate stacked stone pillars with candles that mark an area with a weak stone floor. Get the Smouldering Ballista to fire at the floor to collapse it and drop down into a hallway. By the Demon Cleric in this hallway is an empty room with the bonfire, opposite the room filled with Smouldering Ghrus and the Izalith Pyromancy Tome.
Alternatively, from the Demon Ruins Bonfire, head deeper into the Demon Ruins and down a staircase. In the large room with two Demon Clerics, enter the hallway without the Hound-rat, then further past into a room with many Smouldering Ghrus. Regardless of the direction you take from here, you will reach a staircase leading up to the room with the bonfire.
