General Information

A maddened beast, the outrider knight Vordt of the Boreal Valley blocks the exit from the High Wall of Lothric to the Undead Settlement.

This fight is mandatory.


High Wall of Lothric

  • At the end of the High Wall of Lothric, opposite of Emma's cathedral.


Item Drops


  • Left-to-Right Swing: Swings mace left-to-right.

Phase Transition: <60% HP, slams great hammer down and roars.

  • Charge Combo: Charges three times in a row, and finished by a Frost Breath.
  • Delayed Charge: Pauses, before charging once.



  • Dealing enough Poise damage in one hit to his head during the Frost Breath attack will expose him for a Critical attack.


  • Vordt's Helmet, the Frigid Valley Mask, was originally going to be obtainable but was cut.
