General Information
The Dragonslayer Armour stands guard to the entrance of the Grand Archives.
This fight is mandatory.
Location
- Before the Grand Archives, at the end of the path past the Dragon Barracks.
Summons
- Sirris of the Sunless Realms, to the left of the fog gate.
- Must have defeated Holy Knight Hodrick during her questline.
- Eygon of Carim in the chapel to the right of the fog wall.
Item Drops
Moveset
- Basic Combos: Swings and slams its greataxe and shield.
Phase Transition: <70% HP, collapses before rising again in a mini-tornado from slamming its axe down. Gains new moves, attacks from the shield now deal Lightning damage, and the Pilgrim Butterflies now join the fight.
- Weapon Art: Takes a stance, raising its greataxe overhead and following with various attacks:
- Sweep: Sweeps greataxe horizontally in front of it.
- Uppercut Drag: Charges and drags greataxe along the ground before swinging upwards, and finished by slamming back down.
- Jumping Slam: Jumps and slams greataxe down.
- Wind Projectile: Slams greataxe down, then sweeps it forward to fire a projectile that can clip through walls.
- Pilgrim Butterflies: Various screeches serve as audio cues for the following moves:
- Small Orbs: Fires many small orbs directed at the target.
- Large Orb: Fires a single large orb that slightly homes in on the target.
- Laser: Fires a laser across the arena.
Strategies
Notes
- Abyssal enemy, meaning they take 20% bonus Damage from Wolf Knight's Greatsword and Farron Greatsword.
- May be guard broken, granting Instability Damage but no Critical attack.
- Knight Slayer's Ring and Horsehoof Ring may help, along with guard break Skills.
Legacy
- App 1.04, Regulation 1.05
- The Dragonslayer Armour won’t die before the battle.
Bugs
- Rarely, may start charging into the side of the arena, possibly incorrect aggro.
- Enemies such as Lothric Knights may manage their way into the arena.
- The phase transition may be interrupted if staggered with enough Poise Damage, preventing the boss from using its second phase moveset.
- May rarely cancel the animation of staggers into the "Weapon Art" attacks.
