Giant and aggressive crabs found inside swamps or other wet areas.

Location

Road of Sacrifices

• Crab guards the Great Swamp Pyromancy Tome and Pyromancer Set in a deep section of the swamp.
• Crab below the ledge of the Crucifixion Woods Bonfire.

Farron Keep

• Crab by a white birch tree and many items in deep swamp, left of the gate past the Keep Ruins Bonfire opened by the three Farron Keep Flames.

Smouldering Lake

• Seven Crabs near a Chaos Gem on the right side of the lake past the Abandoned Tomb Bonfire, past the cave leading to Horace the Hushed.
  • One Crab is passive unless attacked.

Painted World of Ariandel

• Three Crabs inside the Depths of the Painting.
  • One burrows out shortly after the first Crab rises.
  • One burrows out much later, after the defeat of both Crabs.

Moveset

• Right Claw Slam: Slams down with their right claw.
• Left Claw Swipe: Swipes with their left claw.
• Slam Combo: Slams down with their left claw twice, followed by their right claw, then their left claw, and finished by a delayed right claw slam.
• Slam: Raises their body up before slamming down with both claws.
  • Exposes them for a Critical attack while they're raised.
• Water Stream: Rears back and mouth bubbles, before spewing a damaging stream dealing Standard damage.
  • Slows down the player's movement, but not rolls, for 10 seconds.
• Frost Stream: Rears back before spewing a stream of Frost.
  • Only used by the Great Crabs in Painted World of Ariandel.
• Grab: Mouth bubbles while they raise their right claw, before swiping to grab their target, crushing them inside their claw if it connects.
• Side Right Claw Slams: Slams down their right claw, and finished by another slam from their right claw.
• Side Left Claw Slam: Slams down their left claw.
• Right Claw Swing: Swings their right claw.
• Left Claw Swing: Swings their left claw.
• Burrow: Burrows into the marsh water if the player leaves the wet parts of the swamp and later rises out in a different spot with full HP.

Notes

• Susceptible to Alluring Skulls but not Rapport.
• Poise can be broken to expose them for a Critical attack.
• Attacks can harm other enemies, excluding other Great Crabs.

Giant Crab Weakness

This enemy is weak against strike damage and resistant to slash damage, thrust damage, and the perfect spot to test this enemy is at the crucifixion woods bonfire ( giant crab is literally next to bonfire).**

Something else I noticed is that jumping on them breaks their poise immediately.

You can also R1 at them for a immediate "riposte" when they raise both claws to attack you
