Talisman made from a lock of white hair.
This lock of hair belonged to a deformed member of the chaos witches, mothers of the art of pyromancy. Fashioned into a talisman, it enables the wielder to cast both miracles and pyromancies.
Skill: Combustion
Creates a powerful flame in the wielder's hand. One of the most basic pyromancies, and for this reason, the flame created is fierce. Works while equipped in either hand.
Effect
- Functions as both a Pyromancy Flame and Talisman, casting both Pyromancies and Miracles
Availability
In Smouldering Lake, on a corpse at the back of a lava pit behind the Illusory Wall leading to the Quelana Pyromancy Tome. Recommended to stack Fire Absorption and drink Estus every few steps, or alternatively use a Shield to block the direction of the damage.

Notes
- Softcaps at 40 Intelligence and Faith for Pyromancies, and then again at 60.
- Softcaps at 45 Intelligence and Faith for Dark Miracles, and then again at 60.
- Other Miracles are unaffected by the Intelligence Scaling, and Softcap at 45 and 60 Faith.
- Fireball, Fire Orb, and Great Chaos Fire Orb ignore Faith Scaling until Intelligence is at least:
- 32 for +0
- 30 for +1
- 28 for +2
- 27 for +3
- 26 for +4
- 25 for +5
- Softcaps at 45 Intelligence and Faith for Dark Miracles, and then again at 60.
- Costs 0.967x Spell Stamina cost to cast Miracles and Pyromancies.

Critical |
Damage multiplier when performing a backstab or riposte. Value of 100 means no extra damage. |
Spell Buff: |
Damage multiplier applied to the base value of a Spell. This value scales depending on the primary stat of the Catalyst, i.e. a Catalyst with Intelligence scaling will have its Spell Buff rise as the player's Intelligence rises. By default the value reflected in the infobox and the upgrades uses 60 Intelligence and/or Faith. |

Wielding a weapon without the required Strength and/or Dexterity will incur a penalty to the Physical damage of the weapon, while lower-than-required Intelligence and/or Faith will reduce the Magic/Fire/Lightning/Dark damage and Spell Buff. |

Damage Reduction: |
The Damage Reduction % of the weapon. It dictates how much damage the weapon mitigates while blocking. The Damage Reduction % stats for weapons are A / B / C / D / E : |
Stability: |
Determines the amount of stamina expended to block an incoming attack. A higher stability also allows you to block stronger attacks without breaking guard and reduces the amount of stamina depleted from blocking attacks. |
Durability: |
The durability of the weapon. |
Weight: |
The weight of the weapon. Note that carrying over 70% of your Equip Load will reduce the speed of your rolls, while going over 100% will reduce your regular speed to walking and attempts to roll or backstep will leave you momentarily stunned. |
