Effect
Can be used to Infuse Weapons/Shields, adding Dark damage and granting Intelligence and Faith Scaling, but reducing Strength and Dexterity Scaling. Also reduces base damage.

- In Catacombs of Carthus, dropped alongside a Lesser Crab by the second Skeleton Ball past the Catacombs of Carthus when its Ball Controller Skeleton is destroyed.
- In Consumed King's Garden, below the stairs to the left past the second Consumed King's Knight in the Toxic swamp.
- In the Painted World of Ariandel, inside the Corvian Settlement. Walk to the gate at the end of the path outside the bonfire room, and drop down a ledge to find it in a house filled with Giant Flies.
- In The Ringed City, inside the abyssal swamp before a collapsed tower upon first entering it past the Harald Knights.
Notes
- Blacksmith Andre requires the Profaned Coal to Infuse Weapons/Shields with Dark Gems.
- Dark Weapons may not have Weapon Buffs applied.
