Lore
This ring was named after Havel the Rock, the battlefield compatriot of Gwyn, the First Lord.
The art of war has been a constant since ages past, and those who would follow in Havel's footsteps are no fewer now than in his own day.
— Description of Havel's Ring
The warriors who followed Havel the Rock never flinched, nor retreated from battle, crushing any foe that stood in their way.
— Description of Havel's Set
Location
Havel the Rock can be found on Archdragon Peak. He is located next to a dead Wyvern, on the top of a roof near the Great Belfry bonfire.
Versions of him can also be summoned by the Serpent-man Summoners in this area.
General Information
Havel the Rock is a hostile NPC, who wields the Dragon Tooth and Havel's Greatshield.
During combat, he'll use several different attacks with his hammer, and occasionally uses the Stone Flesh skill of this greatshield.
He wears Havel's Set, which can be found on the bridge above Farron Keep (near where the Stray Demon is encountered) after defeating him.
Equipment
Item Drops
- Dragon Tooth - Guaranteed on First Kill
- Havel's Greatshield - Guaranteed on First Kill
Notes
- Though both he and the summoned version can drop Dragon Tooth and Havel's Greatshield (only the first one will), his set will only spawn in Farron Keep if the player kills the normal version.
- If you have 30 Intelligence, using Pestilent Mist on him is a very quick and easy strategy. Just stay out of range and lure him into the mist, circling around if you must. His HP will drop rapidly.
