Lore
Pyromancy taught among savages. Flame burrows inside foes and ignites.
Originally used in a ceremony for cleansing sacrificial impurities, thereby lending the spell its name.
As barbaric as it seems, this may in fact be quite fitting for the savage pyromancers who consider themselves servants of the divine.
Effect
Grabs and places a flame within an enemy, which explodes dealing Fire damage.
Initial grab deals approximately Fire AR × 0.3.
Nine hits before the explosion each deal Fire AR × 0.1.
The explosion itself deals Fire AR × 2.3.
If the attack connects without grabbing the opponent, damage equals approximately Spell BuffCatalyst × 0.55.
Availability
In Smouldering Lake, just beyond the area where you fight Knight Slayer Tsorig.
Recommended to stack Fire Absorption and drink Estus every few steps, or alternatively use a Shield to block the direction of the damage.
Notes
- Base Stamina cost of 30 (+12 if the grab doesn't connect).
- Counts as a Critical for the purposes of Aldrich's Sapphire and Aldrich's Ruby, but not for Hornet Ring.
- Varies based on Flame used.
- White Hair Talisman deals its Physical AR (as Thrust) to each hit alongside the Fire AR.
- Pyromancer's Parting Flame deals 2.5x Fire AR on the explosion.
- Demon's Scar deals 2.75x Fire AR on the explosion.
