Status Effects

A wide range of equipment create Status Effects. An icon appears in the top left of the HUD to indicate the current effect(s).

Status Ailment

There are five Status Ailments that can affect the player and enemies. This is shown by a bar on your screen with an icon of the ailment. As Status Ailments are inflicted repeatedly, the bar becomes increasingly full and the effect occurs when maxed.

Note: Flynn's Ring and Dragon Torso Stone will improve the player's buildup of Status Ailments on targets.

Poison

Poison Icon Poison will deal damage over time once built up, and the bar will be shown as the duration.

The amount of Poison inflicted by weapons wielded by the player is influenced by Luck.

Poison Resistance is influenced by Level and Vitality, as well as Armor and various other modifiers.

Toxic

Bleed

Bleed Icon Bleed will deal damage instantly once built up, and the bar will then reset.

The amount of Bleed inflicted by weapons wielded by the player is influenced by Luck.

Bleed Resistance is influenced by Level and Endurance, as well as Armor and various other modifiers.

Frost

Frostbite Icon Frostbite will deal damage instantly once built up, and the bar will be shown as a duration for the other effects.

Frost Resistance is influenced by Level and Vigor, as well as Armor and various other modifiers.

  • Frostbite can be reset with Fire damage, however it has no effect on build up

Curse Icon Curse will instantly kill the player when built up.

Curse Resistance is influenced by Level and Luck, as well as Armor and various other modifiers.
