An Ember is a tool used to enter the Lord of Cinder mode which increases the maximum HP and enables online interactions with other players.

Lore

No Unkindled can ever truly claim the embers that burn within a champion's bosom, which is precisely what makes their yearning for warmth so keen.

Gain the strength of flame and increased max HP until death.

With the strength of fire, the summoning signs of Unkindled become visible, and seekers of embers can be summoned to join in co-operating. But beware, the embers may also attract invaders.

Effect

Used to enter the Lord of Cinder Mode and fully restore the HP.

• Increases the maximum HP by 30%.
• Other players and NPCs can invade.
• Summon signs of other players and NPCs become visible.

  • Six more are added after giving her Greirat's Ashes, but only if you obtained them after sending Greirat of the Undead Settlement to pillage Lothric Castle.
  • Six more are added after giving her Dragon Chaser's Ashes.
• Two are sold by the Shrine Handmaid in Untended Graves for 2,500 souls each.
• Three are sold by Greirat of the Undead Settlement for 2,000 souls each.
  • Four more after sending him to pillage Irithyll of the Boreal Valley.
• Five are sold by Stone-Humped Hag in The Dreg Heap for 2,500 souls each..

• One is found in the lower cell block of Irithyll Dungeon, just before the passage to the Profaned Capital.
• Three are found on the body of a Red Knight behind the first dragon on the High Wall of Lothric.
• One is found on a corpse next to the gate guarded by the Lothric Wyvern in Lothric Castle.
• One can be found on a corpse in the Dragon Barracks area, just inside the foyer of castle guarded by the Lothric Wyvern.
• Two are found on the exterior of Firelink Shrine. One guarded by a Starved Hound out front. The second found slightly above, on the path towards the Homeward Bone.
