A Pale Tongue can be offered to Rosaria, Mother of Rebirth to increase the allegiance to Rosaria's Fingers, or the change the character's attributes or appearance.
Lore
Proof of a red orb invader's victory over a Host of Embers.
Claiming tongues as trophies was originally the practice of an infamous troupe of invaders, who offered them to their speechless goddess.
Effect
Can be offered to Rosaria, Mother of Rebirth in the Cathedral of the Deep to increase the allegiance to the Rosaria's Fingers Covenant.

Received for defeating a Host of Embers while invading with the (Cracked) Red Eye Orb as a Red Invader.

Dropped by Darkwraiths in High Wall of Lothric and Farron Keep at 5%.

- In the Undead Settlement, near the Demon fought together with Siegward of Catarina, on the left-most of the two corpses hanging upside down.
- In the Cathedral of the Deep, at the end of the walkway by a Hollow Slave outside the entrances to the cathedral's rafters.
- In the Cathedral of the Deep, inside the sludge near the Giant Slave surrounded by Writhing Rotten Flesh before Deacons of the Deep.
Notes
- Offering a Pale Tongue to the Rosaria's Fingers will end Sirris of the Sunless Realms' questline, but rebirth will not.
- Offering a Pale Tongue is required to progress Leonhard's questline and to summon Yellowfinger Heysel.
- Most effective offline way to farm is to kill the Darkwraiths outside the Farron Keep Perimeter Bonfire in Farron Keep.
Bugs
- If the game is closed after confirming Rebirth (returned to Rosaria's menu to select options), both the Pale Tongue and the five Rebirth limit will not be used while still retaining the effects of Rebirth.
Legacy

- The Ringfinger Leonhard quest will now start properly after the removal of the restriction on the maximum number of Pale Tongues that can be offered to Rosaria, Mother of Rebirth.
